Born in 1960, Nicolas Maure graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris in 1983 and from INSEAD in 1985.
Nicolas Maure started his career as a business consultant with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), then joined the automotive industry within Valeo (1988-1993), as Deputy Manager for Corporate Strategic Planning, then Marketing Manager for the Climate Control Division, Manufacturing Manager and Purchasing General Manager. He joined Faurecia in 1993, as Purchasing Director for the Automotive Seating Division, then General Manager of Faurecia UK.
He joined Renault in 2000 as Purchasing Director for Parts and Accessories Division, then Quality Project Director, then General Manager of Societe de Transmissions Automatiques, a joint-venture company between Renault and PSA Peugeot-Citroen for automatic transmissions.
Between 2006 and 2008, Nicolas Maure moved to Romania for the first time as Executive Director of the Dacia powertrain plant in Pitesti. He then became Vice-President Powertrain within Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization, based in France and Japan from 2008 to 2013 and then Vice-President for Renault Group Manufacturing Performance.
Since January 2014, he is Managing Director of Renault Group in Romania and President & CEO of Automobile Dacia S.A..
